The focus of the class was to either create a children's book based on either using manuscripts that were royalty-free or through a manuscript that is created. For my book, I created my own manuscript which is based on events from my childhood.
We focused on pitching our story along with understanding our pagination so we would have an idea of the illustrations in the story.
Once the story was set and we worked on developing the characters that would go in the story.
Next were environmental studies
Once those key components were established we worked on the rough spreads and below is the second run-through of the rough spreads. At this point, it was a matter of creating the final spreads. We were expected to have at least four spreads finished at the minimum.
